After I’m cremated, I’m
told there will be around
six pounds of me still
around for somebody to
do something with.
I think I’d prefer being
scattered in the wind, but
it doesn’t matter to me.
and it really won’t matter
when the time comes.
I don’t want to take up
any space when my presence
won’t contribute anything
to anybody, and I can’t see
how my ashes would.
I just hope I’ve shared
enough concern,
compassion, joy, grace,
and love that I’ll leave
a little behind.
